There are Regal Line buses that travel on the main road from Ringlet to Brinchang- The first major town of Cameron Highlands. These buses pass through the most tourist attraction sites along the way. The main transportation hub at the Cameron Highlands is at the heart of Tanah Rata town where the bus station can be found, and this is where the tourists or people travelling by bus from outstations like Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh or Penang are dropped off at.

Since there are no airports in Cameron Highlands, and the closest one too is located in Ipoh. From Ipoh Airport, you can rent a car, get a cab or get on a bus to go to Cameron Highlands retreat. If you do not succeed to get a cab from the Ipoh Airport, try to find one from Medan Gopeng bus station which is only 5 kilometers away. This terminal has many cabs and buses that takes you to the Cameron Highlands.

Therefore, driving up personal vehicles is the most preferred option used by the visitors, but those on a budget use the buses from Kuala Lampur. These coaches and buses are luxury or economy class, depends on which one you wish to travel in. Moreover, there is also no train ride available to Cameron Highlands. The closest one is available in Tapah.
Most visitors rent a car from Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and other major cities before commencing towards Cameron Highlands. It is important to acknowledge about the two major routes from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands via North-South Highway.

You will simply find a taxi in Ipoh or Kuala Lumpur. Getting a cab from Ipoh will charge you from RM 100 to RM200, for one way. Expect to pay about RM 350 to RM600 from KLIA or Penang.
